Sauk Valley Community College student services hosted a Genoa caricature artist to whip up keepsake drawings of students.
Caricature artist Kevin Berg sketched out fun portraits of staff and students Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023 as a welcome to the spring semester at Sauk Valley College.
After the Sauk Valley Skyhawks and Kishwaukee Kougars went back and forth for nearly 38 minutes Thursday night at Sauk Valley Community College, Sauk freshman Jake Gaither hit three clutch shots down the stretch to lift the Skyhawks to a 76-70 victory at home.
The Sauk Valley Community College women's basketball team assisted on 17 of its 21 field goals, and used a huge third-quarter run to defeat the Kishwaukee Kougars 63-48 in an Arrowhead Conference game Thursday night at SVCC.

Sauk Valley Community College held an open house for police officials Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022 to introduce the campus and curriculum to interested departments.
The program will welcome its first batch of cadets in January.
Kyle Kellen will teach a variety of course topics including traffic stops, disturbance calls and crisis intervention.
The class is open to high school students.
The board is composed of individuals from the college’s district.
"Red Tie" event will benefit Sauk Valley Community College's Impact Program.
The college will reopen on Jan. 3.
Secretary of State Jesse White awarded more than $5.6 million in annual adult literacy grants to help students develop and enhance their reading, math, writing and English-language skills.
