The CEO class at the Whiteside Area Career Center is holding its annual trade show Wednesday and Thursday, April 24 and 25, 2024 at the Northland Mall in Sterling. Students have worked all year to design, market and sell their goods for this event.

Dozens gathered Friday, April 19, 2024 on the lawn of the Old Lee County Courthouse in Dixon in recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Hands Around the Courthouse is an event meant to bring awareness to child abuse.

In celebration of Tejano singer Selena’s birthday, a paint party hosted by Primitive Frills’ Sonia Robinson was held at El Jacalito's new location Monday, April 15, 2024, in Sterling. Forty-three artists signed up to take part in the expression as both a way to show their admiration of the popular singer and to welcome the restaurant to its new downtown location.

CER LARP, a live action role playing group, met Saturday, April 13, 2024 for their monthly meet-up at Lowell Park in Dixon. Players develop characters and engage in puzzle solving, combat and teamwork to advance though a fantasy campaign.
