Princeton will welcome 14 schools to run in Saturday’s Gary Coates Cross Country Invitational at Zearing Park on the south side of Princeton. Schools include Amboy, Dixon, Fieldcrest, Hall, LaSalle-Peru, Mendota, Morris and Newman.
Hall and Mendota first played more than a century ago with records showing a 27-7 Mendota victory in 1917. According to BCR records, the Red Devils hold a 43-39 series edge in 82 meetings, winners of the last three.
