The St. Viator girls golf team posted a winning team score of 352 — led by sophomore champion Maggie Carlson’s 81 — to advance to the state finals for the fourth time in the past five seasons at Monday’s Class 1A Sandwich Sectional at Edgebrook Golf Club.
Aidan Maguire's career-best 2-under par 70 led Benet to second place at the Class 2A St. Viator Sectional and a state bid. Lemont was third as a team, also advancing to state, while Wheaton Academy's Sam Dykema tied for third individually to advance to state.
