The trial of a Rock Falls man accused of beating a neighbor so badly that the man died three weeks later of his injuries was postponed Tuesday morning, minutes before jury selection was set to begin.

A 34-year-old Rock Falls man on probation for possession of meth in Whiteside County is jailed in Clinton, Iowa, accused of breaking into the Clinton Area Showboat Theatre on March 5 and stealing costumes, money, and musical and electronic equipment.

The 17-year-old Rock Falls boy charged with shootiing a woman in the leg on Feb. 2 is charged as an adult and therefore named in charging documents filed in Whiteside County court.
