The Rock River Valley Shamrock Club hosted their last St. Patricks parade and party Saturday, March 16, 2024 in Dixon. The club has been putting on the festivities for 26 years. Warm weather and big crowds made the day an extra special send off along with the surprise naming of long time club members Phil and Dee Lahey as grand marshals of the parade. Participants in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade were scored by a panel of judges who selected winners in three categories: Non-Profit, Children/Schools and Business, with one float earning Best of Show.
