Naperville Irish Fest will feature a variety of live performances, traditional Irish dancing and cultural exhibits from the Irish American Heritage Center that showcase the rich history and heritage of Ireland.

Fall-themed beer festivals will brew up fun from northwest Illinois to the Chicago suburbs.

The 44th year of the event opened at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, in Grant Park near Buckingham Fountain and runs through Sunday, Sept. 8.

The Sandwich High band helped kick off this year's Sandwich Fair on Wednesday.

Dixon's neighbor to the north will once again host a celebration of the arts – and this year, there are 75 more reasons to celebrate.

Burn ‘N Bush and The Empty Pockets also are set to perform.

Hometown Days Festival was held Aug. 29-Sept. 1 at Beecher Community Park in Yorkville. The festival is organized by the city of Yorkville and its Parks and Recreation Department.
