The Kendall County Health Department has announced it is accepting applications for the Kendall-Grundy Community Services Scholarship.

Amaal Tokars will lead the state agency as a nationwide search is conducted to find a permanent director to replace Dr. Ngozi Ezike who will leave the agency March 14 after serving as its director for the past three years.

The scholarships are made possible with funding from Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.

“Masks should be worn indoors by all individuals (age 2 and older) who are not fully vaccinated. Consistent and correct mask use by people who are not fully vaccinated is especially important indoors and in crowded settings, when physical distancing cannot be maintained,” the CDC guidance reads.

Those that receive a Pfizer vaccine at the health department’s clinics starting Thursday, July 8 will receive a raffle ticket for the drawings.
