The Oswego Police Department successfully conducted an increased traffic enforcement effort over Labor Day weekend, resulting in two arrests and 70 citations being issued.

The effort was part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over,” “Drive High Get a DUI” and “Click It or Ticket” initiatives, funded by federal highway safety funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Richard L. Haley Jr. was arrested at approximately 10:39 a.m. while police were conducting a traffic stop near Route 31 and Century Drive in Oseego.

The Plano Police Department is seeking help from the public locating a suspect in a hit-and-run crash that occurred on Monday.

A Plano resident was charged with eight felony counts of aggravated DUI and taken into custody by the Plano Police Department following a car crash in June resulting in four passengers being transported to local hospitals with serious injuries.

A manhunt is underway in Montgomery after a pregnant woman was stabbed Saturday, police said. Authorities said the man wanted in connection to the stabbing could be armed and dangerous.

The traffic enforcement campaign of the Kendall County Sheriff's Office began Aug. 15 and will run through the early morning hours of Sept. 2. Deputies are focused on stopping impaired driving and enforcing seat belt laws.

The Oswego Police Department conducted a traffic enforcement campaign from July 8 to Aug. 1. The campaign was part of a statewide effort aiming to reduce highway fatalities and injuries associated with speeding.

In March, the Yorkville Police Department received an internet tip indicating that the suspect was in possession of illegal digital files. Shortly afterward, investigators executed a search warrant at his residence and evidence was collected.
