More than 100 runners entered the inaugural Princeton Mile Race up Main Street in Princeton, including seven in the elite division. Race winners in the elite division were Jake Gillum, 27, of Metamora (4:08) for the men and Claire Fuhlhagge, 25, of Normal (5:04).

Hall graduate Jack Savitch took part in Louisiana State University-Shreveport baseball team undefeated NAIA championship season. He said: “I had no clue this would happen. Knew they were good, but not like that.”

Marquette sailed to a 16-1 victory over Lexington in the IHSA Class 1A State semifinal at Illinois Field in Champaign on Friday, June 6, 2025.

The Marquette Crusaders responded to Lexington’s one run in the top of the second inning with 10 of their own in the bottom half, propelling the defending 1A state champs into Saturday’s 1 p.m. title game via a dominant, 16-1 victory early Friday.

The Henry-Senachwine softball team's record-breaking season came to an end Monday with a 2-0 loss to Dakota in the Class 1A Sterling Supersectional.
