The Ottawa girls basketball team held regional top seed Sterling 25 points below its season average, upsetting the Golden Warriors 33-27 for the 3A La Salle-Peru Regional title and a trip to next week’s 3A Galesburg Sectional.

The Midland girls basketball team received a huge 3-pointer from senior Emma Franks in the final minutes of a 52-45 victory over Yorkville Christian in the Class 1A Serena Regional championship game om Thursday. It's the Timberwolves first postseason title since 1999.

Rock Island Alleman defeated St. Bede 42-40 during the Class 2A Regional final game on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026 at St. Bede Academy.

Bureau Valley's Libby Endress led a balanced effort with 18 points, 11 rebounds and two basket-and-1s late in the Storm's 67-48 win over Polo in the Class 1A Galva Regional semifinals on Tuesday night.

St. Bede defeated Princeton 45-34 during the Class 2A Regional semifinals on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026 at St. Bede Academy. The Lady Bruins will play Rock Island Alleman for the Regional title on Thursday at 6:30p.m.

Sterling defeated L-P 64-40 during the Class 3A Regional semifinal game on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026 in Sellett Gymnasium at L-P High School. The Lady Warriors will face Ottawa in the Regional title game on Thursday.

Mendota defeated Putnam County on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026 at Mendota High School.
