La Salle-Peru senior Chance Hank won the championship of Saturday's L-P Boys Bowling Regional, while Yorkville captured the team championship ahead of Minooka, Joliet West and L-P.

Teams from Reed Custer, Joliet Central, Joliet West, Minooka, Ottawa, St. Bede, Princeton, Plainfield South, Streator, Yorkville and L-P competed in the Regional Bowling meet on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023 at the Illinois Valley Super Bowl in Peru.

The La Salle-Peru boys and girls bowling teams claimed the team titles at their own Cavalier Classic on Saturday, while Streator's Brady Grabowski and St. Bede's Aubree Acuncius took the individual titles.

This Saturday morning when 13 high school boys bowling teams arrive at Channahon Lanes to compete in the IHSA’s Minooka Regional, the La Salle-Peru Cavaliers will be one of them. The Streator Bowlin’ Bulldogs will not.

La Salle-Peru — led by Ethan Picco and Chance Hank — held off a late charge from Sycamore to claim the I-8 Conference Meet title.
