Former Oswego East High School and Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp pitcher Noah Schultz made his Major League Baseball debut Tuesday with the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Noah Schultz was a skinny 15-year-old barely into high school at Oswego East when the light came on to what lay in store for his baseball future. On Tuesday, in front of large hometown support, the 22-year-old lefthander made his Sox debut. 'A surreal experience.'

Senior standout Casey Etheridge swept the hurdles and took part in the winning relays in the 4x100 and 4x400 relay, the latter setting a new meet record. His efforts helped lead the Tigers to a first-place finish over runner-up Kewanee by 24 points, 193.5 to 169.5.
