Wheaton Park District

The Wheaton Park District hosted Ice-A-Palooza at the Central Athletic Complex in Wheaton on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023.

The award celebrates organizations around DuPage County that were formed 100 years ago or more, and that have contributed substantially to the community’s well-being through programming and philanthropy.

The city of Wheaton and its park district bring back “Light Up Wheaton” this month, a holiday decorating contest.

The idea is to sample, to compare and contrast at this taste-testing festival presented by the Wheaton Park District from noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 6, in Memorial Park.

Work on the masonry and gutters of the DuPage County Historical Museum building in Wheaton will be funded by a $750,000 grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.

The CARA-certified, chip-timed 5K run is presented by the Wheaton Park District in partnership with the Wheaton Lions Club Charities. Both in-person and virtual events are planned.
