Whether it will be built on a site under construction on U.S. Route 34 and Kendall Point Drive is not entirely clear. In February, village trustees unanimously approved plans for a 12,500-square-foot grocery store.

The Gas N Wash at the northeast corner of Orchard and Mill roads in Oswego is as much as an eatery as it is a place to get gas and a car wash.

The highly anticipated members-only shopping warehouse is already creating a large footprint in the Yorkville community.

Shoppers are expected to line-up for the grand opening beginning at 8 a.m. on Nov. 12. The new location is at at 825 E. Veterans Parkway, Yorkville.

Don Kinley is the fourth generation in his family to own Lincolnway Barbership. His great-grandfather, Albert Worst, established the shop in 1881.

Hosted by the Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce, about 100 local businesses participated in the annual Halloween festivities.

The store will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. that day. Free T-shirts and stickers will be given to the first 100 customers starting at 2 p.m.
