About the Golden Warriors: With quarterback Drew Kested injured late in the Week 2 loss to Montini, the Sterling quarterback platoon will now consist of Colt Adams and Garrett Polson. In the loss to Montini, Polson was 1-for-5 passing, but his one completion was a bubble screen dropped for a three-yard loss. ... Antonio Tablante has 33 carries for 152 yards this season after he rushed 20 times for 86 yards against Montini. ... Against Montini, Sterling ran the ball 17 times on first down, gaining 66 yards, an average of 3.8 yards per attempt. Discounting a fumble going for a nine-yard loss, that’s 4.7 yards per attempt. About the Silver Streaks: Galesburg led Morton 14-13 at halftime of their Week 2 matchup, but the Potters scored 21 second-half points to rally for the 34-21 win. ... Tristan Legate is 25-for-40 passing for 318 yards through two weeks. The junior quarterback was elevated to the starting role in Week 2 of the spring season when Grant Aten was injured.
