One of three defendants charged in the 2021 armed robbery and shooting at a Marengo Circle K gas station was sentenced to 13 years in prison Monday after entering into a negotiated plea of guilty.

Those charged with felonies the week of Jan. 8, 2023, by the Algonquin, Cary, Crystal Lake, Fox River Grove, Harvard, Johnsburg, Spring Grove and Woodstock police departments, as well as the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
Cicero District 99 was recently awarded with a $260,000 grant to expand its STEAM education with Project Lead The Way, courtesy of a grant from engineering and architecture firm Burns & McDonnell.
