Three U.S. Senate candidates are off the March 17 primary ballot after the Illinois State Board of Elections on Tuesday upheld objections to their petitions.

The herd of Illinois candidates vying for U.S. senator in the March 17 primary election is likely to be thinned this week at a state electoral board meeting.

Barring successful petition objections, the roster is complete for governor and U.S. Senate candidates in the 2026 primary.
