Kayla Kersting hit a three-run homer and Alyssa Muhlbach an inside-the-park homer in a Yorkville softball win in Myrtle Beach, Drew Kleinhans had a two-run single in Oswego's six-run fifth in a win over Joliet Catholic and Sandwich baseball and softball were both winners.

Addyson Dunn and catcher Danielle Stone teamed up for a stellar day in the circle, and Dunn drove in the tying run and Stone the winning run in the bottom of the seventh as Oswego East rallied past Lemont 2-1 to stay undefeated, the program's best start since 2018.

Yorkville's Aiden Kolkmeyer won the high jump and Owen Horeni was second in the 1,600 at the Illinois Indoor Championships, Oswego East softball came back in the seventh to stay unbeaten and Yorkville volleyball was second at the Oswego Invite. That and more in the roundup.

Aurora Central Catholic junior shortstop Nick Czerak, recently moved to the leadoff spot in the order, hit a homer, triple and double Saturday to power the Chargers past visiting Plano 7-5.

Avah Oertel led a Princeton hit parade of nine hits with a 3 for 3 day at the plate, including two home runs and three RBIs. Keely Lawson also homered as the Tigresses snapped a 2-game skid with a 6-1 win over visiting Plano at Little Siberia Field in Princeton.
