In a fantastic local battle, Lockport edged Joliet West for its third straight IHSA state bowling title, while St. Charles East's Lida Burgos won the individual title and Lani Breedlove placed seventh to lead Oswego to fifth place.
Oswego senior Lani Breedlove on Tuesday bowled her second career 300 perfect game, capping off an 806 series – an Oswego record and the fifth-best individual series by a girls bowler in IHSA history.
'Super special' Led by junior Lani Breedlove, who was fourth place individually, the Oswego girls bowling team took third place at the state tournament in Rockford – the program's first state trophy since Breedlove's aunt and the 1998 team won the state title.
