An Aurora man pleaded guilty to armed violence in a 2023 violent stabbing attack and was sentenced in turn to 25 years in prison, according to the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Kane County Circuit Judge John Barsanti said Nov. 5 is when officials will set a date for a plea or trial of an elderly man facing more than 100 charges of sexual violence against minors.

Two people from Plano and a man from Aurora have been charged with multiple felonies following an investigation into an alleged chicken fighting ring in Kendall County.
