The Interstate 8 and Little Ten released their all-conference volleyball teams and the Three Rivers announced its all-conference soccer team.

The La Salle-Peru volleyball team started strong Thursday but lost 13-25, 25-18, 25-17 to Washington in the Class 3A La Salle-Peru Sectional championship.

The Tri-County Conference released its Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and all-conference teams for the 2025 season.

The La Salle-Peru volleyball team beat Morris 25-22, 25-18 in a Class 3A L-P Sectional semifinal Tuesday. L-P will play Washington in the sectional championship match Thursday.

The Newark girls volleyball team had its season end with a 25-21, 25-18 loss to Stockton in Tuesday's Class 1A Eastland Sectional semifinal in Lanark. The Norsemen closed the season with a 32-5 record.

La Salle-Peru senior Emma Jereb was voted NewsTribune Athlete of the Week after helping the Cavaliers to two victories to earn a share of the Interstate 8 Conference title.

Heather Buhle helped get Newark off to great starts in both sets with her potent serving and earned the final point in a wild finish in the opening set of a 25-22, 25-13 sweep of Serena in Thursday's Class 1A Yorkville Christian Regional final.

The Putnam County volleyball team pulled out the first set Thursday, but Orion bounced back to beat the Panthers 26-28, 25-11, 25-10 in the Class 1A Putnam County Regional championship.
