Lockport softball is geared up to make a run at the program's first Class 4A state championship since 2004 over the weekend, starting Friday afternoon with the 4A state semifinals.

The 16-team Morris Ladies Shootout will take place Tuesday and Wednesday, June 17-18.

With only two seniors on its roster, the Providence Catholic softball team will be one of the youngest clubs at the IHSA Class 3A state finals this weekend in Peoria.
