Peterson put up easily the best season of his career. He finished second at the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.11, just 0.01 seconds out of first to bring home the silver medal at state.
The top eight 4x800 teams in the 3A race posted season-best times, and the top four – three of them from the Herald-News area – had performances that rank in the top 14 in the nation this season, highlighting a good day for the area at the IHSA State Meet.
