A retirement ceremony was held Aug. 4 for Donna and Joe Marshall after 45 years of dedication to the game of baseball, mostly Crest Hill Pony League and the DuPage River Conference.

Tyler Bell, drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays with the 66th overall pick of the MLB Draft earlier this month, announced early Wednesday afternoon on X (formerly Twitter) that he was "All in!" on his previous commitment to attend and play baseball for the University of Kentucky.

Nate George of Minooka was once committed to Eastern Illinois, but was drafted Tuesday by the Baltimore Orioles.
