Boys basketball

Minooka 57, Taylorville 47: Brock Brown led the way with 21 points for the Indians.

Hinsdale Central 60, Lemont 56: Lemont was led by Matas Gaidukevicius and Gabe Sularski with 15 points each.

Yorkville Christian 68, Providence 66: Seth Cheney dropped 26 points for the Celtics.

Girls basketball

Joliet Central 55, Bradley-Bourbonnais 18: The Steelmen moved to 7-6 on the year with the victory.

Morris 62, Metamora 60: Landrie Callahan (27 points, 12 rebounds, two steals) and Layken Callahan (18 points, six rebounds and six assists) led the way for Morris.

LaSalle-Peru 57, Plainfield Central 21: The Wildcats dropped a tough one at the Ottawa Tournament.

Marist 59, Lockport 54: The Porters saw Lucy Hynes and Alaina Peetz earn All-Tournament team honors at Oak Lawn, despite the loss.

Romeoville 63, Riverside-Brookfield 42: Romeoville won a big one at the Oak Lawn Invitational.

Boys wrestling

Joliet Central finishes sixth at West Allis (Wisc.) Tournament: The Steelmen took sixth out of 24 squads Charles Walker brought home first place in his weight class to lead the way.

Lincoln-Way West takes silver at Rex Whitlatch Invitational: The Warriors scored 188 points as a team with Shane Stream (126 pounds) and Nate Elstner (215) getting firsts.

Girls wrestling

Joliet Central goes 3-0 at Yorkville Quad: The Steelmen beat Yorkville 66-13, Glenbard West 52-26, and Joliet West 56-24.
