Area athletes earned first place finishes in eight events at the IESA Track and Field State Championships held in East Peoria over the last two weekends.
Coal City's Dominic Zuccarello and Max Christensen won state titles at the IESA State Wrestling Tournament over the weekend, where nine other area wrestlers also placed.
