Discover Dixon will hold its annual Brush and Bloom event during the Petunia Festival from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, July 4, on the old Lee County Courthouse’s sidewalks, 298 to 200 S. Ottawa Ave., Dixon.
The program challenges students to read eight books before Monday, July 14.
Proof of residency is required by presenting two forms of legal identification. Student fees are $65 for students in kindergarten through third grade and $70 for students in fourth through eighth grades.
