Northern Illinois 78, Eastern Michigan 70: Chelby Koker had 23 points as she helped the Huskies snap a five-game losing streak, all in Mid-American Conference play, with the victory Wednesday in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
Koker’s 23 points were a season high, while her nine boards tied a season-high. Koker was one of four Huskies to score in double figures.
“She commanded the offense for us tonight,” NIU coach Lisa Carlsen said of the Huskies' leading scorer. “We played her a lot of minutes, and she was good in them. Anytime you can have her down the stretch, you get a sense of leadership and poise.”
Lexi Carlsen scored 17 points, and Laura Nickel added 14.
Boys basketball
Sycamore 67, Morris 41: Isaiah Feuerbach scored 21 points, and the Spartans won in Interstate 8 Conference play.
Unique Shaw had 15 points, and Xander Lewis added 10.
Genoa-Kingston 61, Marian Central Catholic 50: Marcus Johnson had 20 points to help the Cogs to a nonconference win. G-K extended its winning streak to four.
Hayden Hodgson added 16 points, and Nathan Kleba chipped in with 13.

Boylan Catholic 54, Sycamore 22: At Sycamore, the Spartans fell in nonconference action.
Boys wrestling
Kaneland 52, Genoa-Kingston 30: The Knights earned a victory in a four-team meet.
Belvidere North 53, Genoa-Kingston 30: The Cogs came up short in a four-team meet.
Dixon 69, Genoa-Kingston 6: The Cogs lost in a four-team meet.
