The following candidates filed to run for school board seats in Bureau County school districts.
Four communities - Ottawa, Oglesby, Streator and Princeton - will have contested mayoral races, including three-candidate races in Ottawa and Oglesby.
Candidates filed Monday across the Illinois Valley for seats on their community governments.
Petition filing will remain open until 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 19. Perspective candidates will have until then to submit the proper paperwork for the upcoming April 4 election.
Unofficial Bureau County election results show Incumbent Matthew Eggers (R) with a lead over Challenger Dylan Benavidez (D) with a vote count of 8,536 to 3,943 with 100% of precincts reporting.

Bureau County voters will cast their ballots Tuesday.
