The Grundy Area Vocational Center honored the students who received monthly awards throughout the 2025-26 school year.
Students from Grompers Junior High School investigated and discovered a time capsule that was embedded in the wall of the school in 1969. The time capsule was opened Friday, May 1, 2026.

Joliet Central's JROTC cadets learned about the training, discipline, and teamwork required by people in emergency response careers.

The walk will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday at Drauden Point Middle School, 1911 Drauden Road, Plainfield. The cost is $10 day of the event or $5 if you register by Friday.
The City of Joliet hosted its annual Arbor Day event at Lynne Thigpen Elementary School on Friday, April 24.

The free event will celebrate the diversity of the John F. Kennedy Middle School community, featuring student-organized displays that highlight cultures from around the world.
The honors are a school tradition dating back to 1958 which recognizes two high school seniors who “best represent the ideals of Joliet Township High School.”

Riverside Healthcare donated more than $12,000 to 18 high schools across Kankakee, Grundy, Will, and Iroquois counties for their 2025 fall sports seasons.

These Will County students will travel to Ireland from June 28 to July 23.
