Bad weather forecast knocks out K of C cookout fundraiser

DIXON — Dixon Knights of Columbus Council 690 announced on Thursday that because of the forecast for storms with high winds, it is calling off its fundraiser cookout scheduled for Saturday at Oliver’s Corner Market.

This is not the first time bad weather has resulted in the cancellation of the event, which raises money for the Catholic Scholarship Fund. The same thing happened last year.
