Volleyball: Sauk Valley Media reveals its all-area team for the 2021 spring season

FIRST TEAM

Bree Borum, Sterling sr. S/RS – Finished with 108 kills, was fifth in the area with 247 assists and sixth with 165 digs, and also had 17 aces. She was named first-team all-Western Big 6.

Brook Borum, Sterling sr. OH – Led the area with 236 kills and was 10th with 133 digs, while also adding 13 blocks and 15 aces. She was named first-team all-Western Big 6.

Elena Castillo-Wetzell, Dixon jr. L – Led the area with 264 digs, and also served 10 aces.

Ally Clevenger, Newman jr. OH – Was third in the area with 156 kills, and added 118 digs and 16 aces. She was a unanimous all-TRAC East selection.

Grace Egan, Sterling so. OH – Second in the area to teammate Brook Borum with 166 kills, and was also second with 23 aces. She also had 132 digs and 10 blocks. She was named first-team all-Western Big 6.

Karlie Krogman, Eastland sr. MH – Finished fifth in the area with 146 kills, and also had 60 digs, 15 blocks and 16 aces. She was a unanimous all-NUIC South selection.

Mallory Pinske, Rock Falls jr. MH – Second in the area with 43 blocks and seventh with 131 kills. She was named first-team all-Big Northern.

SECOND TEAM

Nicole Boelens, Polo jr. OH – Led the Marcos with 80 kills, 97 assists and 16 aces, and also had 93 digs and 12 blocks. She was a unanimous all-NUIC South selection.

Emily Brooks, Erie-Prophetstown sr. OH – Finished with 82 kills and 70 digs. She was named 1st-team all-TRAC East.

Mallory Coley, Dixon jr. OH – Was sixth in the area with132 kills and eighth with 18 blocks, while also adding 96 digs.. She was named second-team all-Big Northern.

Kylie Collachia, Fulton sr. S – Finished 10th in the are with 169 assists, and also had 66 kills and 91 digs. She was a unanimous all-TRAC West selection.

Natalie Hughes, Eastland sr. S – Led the area with 472 assists, while also recording 107 digs and 18 aces. She was named first-team all-NUIC South.

Ella Martin, Oregon sr. S – Led the area with 31 aces, and was also third with 289 assists. She had 64 kills and 117 digs as a second-team all-Big Northern selection.

Denali Stonitsch, Rock Falls fr. S – Second in the area with 317 assists, while adding 93 digs and 13 aces. She was earned honorable mention all-Big Northern honors.

THIRD TEAM

Claire Bickett, Rock Falls fr. OH/MH – Finished fourth in the area with 152 kills and eighth with 141 digs, while also stuffing 16 blocks. She was named first-team all-Big Northern.

Jenae Bothe, Oregon jr. MH – Finished fifth in the area with 25 blocks, and was eighth with 118 kills, while also serving 16 aces. She was named first-team all-Big Northern.

Madison Haynes, West Carroll sr. OH – Was ninth in the area with 117 kills, and added 115 digs, and 14 blocks.

Brittney Mundell, AFC sr. MH – Had 94 digs and 13 blocks, and was named first-team all-NUIC South

Mallory Powers, Amboy sr. OH – Finished 10th in the area with 112 kills, and also had 120 digs. She was a unanimous all-NUIC South selection.

Kennedy Rowzee, Newman fr. MH – Was third in the area with 34 blocks, and added 88 kills. She was named first-team all-TRAC East.

Lauren Wirth, Bureau Valley sr. S/OH – Finished with 150 assists, 59 digs and 16 aces. She was named second-team all-TRAC East.
