The Streator High softball team was locked in a pitchers' duel with crosstown rival Woodland/Flanagan-Cornell until the Bulldogs struck with an 8-run sixth inning to pull away.

The Sycamore softball team took advantage of a trio of Ottawa errors and a dropped third strike to score three runs in the top of the ninth inning to stay unbeaten in Interstate 8 Conference play with a 6-3 victory on Wednesday in Ottawa.
