As a student, she kept color-coded notes so, yes, Brittany Rynkewicz expects her students to be diligent. But the St. Bede English teacher also wants her kids to unlock their imagination and have fun.

The Three Rivers has extended an invitation to Mercer County to fill the vacancy created by the pending departure of St. Bede. The invitation includes realignment in the conference.

The Three Rivers County Conference has served St. Bede Academy well. But at the conclusion of the 2022-23 school year, its ninth year in the Three Rivers, the Bruins plan to return to a former home.

Class 1A playoffs continue next week

The Cardinals scored every time they touched the ball en route to a 46-22 win over the St. Bede Bruins in a Class 1A playoff opener Saturday afternoon at St. Bede Academy.

St. Bede senior captains John and Ryan Brady, twins, were accompanied by their great grandfather, Melvin Baima, to present the game ball for Saturday's Homecoming game at the Academy.

St. Bede Academy conducted its homecoming parade Friday in downtown Peru. This was the first time the school's parade took a route through the town.

Abbot Emeritus Philip Davey, O.S.B. ‘65, Joan Jobst, Charles Link ‘56 and the Bruins’ 1992 state baseball team will be inducted into the St. Bede Academy Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday.
