Letter: Please don’t resort to profanity in political banners

Sauk Valley Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:

I am deeply disturbed and embarrassed as a citizen of Morrison by the political flag on a home heading west out of Morrison on Route 30. I certainly uphold the right of anyone to express their political views, but profanity does not have to be part of the vehicle.

I implore and beg those who display it to find a more appropriate message. I further implore the many good people who may support this political figure to call this person out, if needed, or you may not be the good people I have known you to be.

Freedom of speech does not include corrupting our children with such language in a flagrant public way.

JoAnn Snodgrass
