This Weekend
Clinton Bald Eagle Watch, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Lock and Dam 13 in Fulton. For information, call 815-259-3628.
Bald Eagle Days Environmental Fair and Wildlife Art Show is Friday to Sunday at QCCA Expo Center, 2621 Fourth Ave., Rock Island. It’s the largest event in the Midwest dedicated to the bald eagle. There are live eagle, hawk, owl and vulture flying demonstrations, educational programs and more than 200 exhibits. Admission is $6 for adults, $1 for children ages 6-15, free 6 and younger. It is open 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The First Fridays Open Mic moves to a new location: K’s Sports Bar, 408 East Washington (Route 64) in Oregon. The next show will be 7 p.m. Friday. Admission is free, although a jar is available for donations. Sign-up for performers is at 6:45. For information, call 815-449-2660.

Clinton Symphony Orchestra has performances Jan. 16 at Lutheran Church in Clinton, Iowa, Feb. 19 at Morrison High School, and April 30 at Vernon Cook Theater in Clinton.

Theater productions
Historic Dixon Theatre. Tickets are on sale for the following shows at Historic Dixon Theatre, 114 S. Galena Ave. Go to dixontheatre.com/events/ for tickets or more information. Capriccio Piano Quartet, part of the Rendezvous Arts tour, will be 5:30 p.m. Jan. 13. Reza: Edge of Illusion, a ground-breaking grand scale production, will be 4 p.m. Jan. 23.
Art exhibits
17th Regional Survey of Art opens Friday and runs through Feb. 12 at The Next Picture Show, 113 W. First St., Dixon. A reception and awards presentation will be 6 p.m., Jan. 14.
Planes, Trains and Automobiles opens Saturday and runs through March 31 at KSB Hospital’s Commerce Towers. Exhibit is free and opens daily at 9 a.m.

Museums, exhibits and attractions
Loveland History Museum, 9 a.m. -2 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, Loveland Community House, 513 W. Second St., Dixon; free; lovelandcommunityhouse.org or 815-284-2741. The museum will be closed in observance of Christmas and New Year and will re-open for normal hours on Jan. 6.
All Aglow holiday display continues through Jan. 9 at Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens in Rockford. The event is free, though donations are accepted.
