Petunia Festival begins bright and early

DIXON — The Dixon High School boosters’ annual pancake breakfast was underway on Friday morning, one of the many activities surrounding the 57th Petunia Festival. The festival is back after a year’s hiatus because of the 2020 lockdown stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Along Peoria Avenue, young people employed in Public Works were giving the railings along the two pedestrian bridges a quick sweep, removing cobwebs and the like.
