Sterling American Legion plans Remembrance Day ceremony

Sterling American Legion Post 296 honor guard fires a volley as part of a salute on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, in the street outside Centennial Auditorium at Sterling High School. The sound of the gunfire can be heard by those in the auditorium through the loading dock that is behind the main stage.

STERLING — Sterling American Legion Post 296 would like to invite the public to a Remembrance Day ceremony commemorating the 81st anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, said Post adjutant, Joseph Fiorini.

The ceremony will be held 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at Post 296, 601 First Avenue. The ceremony will include a speaker, a rifle salute and the playing of taps.
