Vaccine update: Sauk Valley administers 289 doses Tuesday

Staff at Dixon Rehab lined up to receive their inoculations, while residents were vaccinated room by room. The Lee County Health Department also is working to vaccinate as many people as fast as possible, and community members are asked be patient as the department waits for doses to arrive, and works to get them distributed quickly.

The Sauk Valley administered an additional 289 coronavirus vaccine doses Tuesday, and 149 more people became fully vaccinated.

Whiteside County has administered 43,483 total doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, with 21,784 people (39.16%) fully vaccinated. Lee County has had 29,397 doses, with 14,810 people (43.27%) fully vaccinated. Carroll County has administered 9,469 vaccine doses, with 4,972 people (34.74%) fully vaccinated. Ogle County has had 40,628 doses, with 20,025 people (39.32%) fully vaccinated.

There have been 122,977 doses administered and 61,591 people fully vaccinated across Whiteside, Lee, Carroll and Ogle counties.

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported a total of 12,017,052 COVID-19 vaccines administered.

The state administered 70,062 shots, and 5,811,543 of the population of Illinois have been fully vaccinated, or 45.61%.
