Vaccination clinics this week in Whiteside, Lee counties

Staff at Dixon Rehab lined up to receive their inoculations, while residents were vaccinated room by room. The Lee County Health Department also is working to vaccinate as many people as fast as possible, and community members are asked be patient as the department waits for doses to arrive, and works to get them distributed quickly.

Community members will have several opportunities to receive the COVID-19 vaccination this week in Whiteside and Lee counties.

Whiteside County will be having a Pfizer walk-in clinic from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Johnson & Johnson clinic from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the health department, 1300 W. Second St., in Rock Falls; a Moderna clinic from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fitzgerald Pharmacy, 124 E. Main St., in Morrison; and a Moderna clinic from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the McCormick Event Center, 205 E. Third St. in Rock Falls.

The Lee County Health Department is hosting two pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinics in Amboy and Ashton.

The Moderna clinics are open to anyone 18 and older. Vaccines will be available from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Amboy Depot Museum parking lot, 227 E. Main St. It will be moved to the Amboy Fire Department, 25 N. East Ave., in case of bad weather.

The Ashton clinic will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Lions Center on Main Street, next to the bank.

In Sterling, CGH will offer a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine clinic from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at CGH Medical Center, 100 E. LeFevre Road.

It is open to anyone 16 or older who lives or works in the state.
