Route 64 in Ogle County resurfacing to begin Wednesday

The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that weather permitting, resurfacing will begin Wednesday on Route 64 in Ogle County in a stretch that runs from U.S. 52 to Route 26.

Flaggers will direct traffic. Drivers should be prepared to stop when directed.

Access to residences and businesses within the work zone will be maintained throughout construction.

The $1,497,762 project is expected to be completed by Aug. 8.

Over the next 6 years, IDOT is planning to improve 2,779 miles of highway and 7.9 million square feet of bridge deck as part of the Rebuild Illinois capital program, which is investing $33.2 billion into all modes of transportation.
