Burlington Central girls basketball team rolls past Crystal Lake South

Burlington Central’s girls basketball team more than doubled host Crystal Lake South’s output Thursday, cruising past the Gators, 66-32, in Crystal Lake.

Taylor Charles put up 13 points, six rebounds and seven blocks to lead the Rockets to victory, Lauren Knief was just behind her with 12 points after draining four 3-pointers, and Haley Lindquist also hit double digits with 10 points.

South’s Kree Nunnally led all scorers with 16 points.

Woodstock 30, Richmond-Burton 23: At Richmond, the visiting Blue Streaks defeated the Rockets.

Keira Bogott and Allison O’Brien had eight points apiece to lead Woodstock. Itziar Fernandez had eight points for R-B.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Marian Central 79, Westlake Christian 38: At Woodstock, the Hurricanes ran away with one on senior night.

Jason Lange led the way with 15 points in the win, and Mike Morris scored 12.
