The Geneva boys volleyball team seems to be rounding into form at the right time. A title at its own invitational bears witness to that.

Glenbard West’s Jack Creswell continued an impressive freshman season Saturday, knocking off St. Charles East senior Teige Donehoo in the No. 1 singles championship of the St. Charles East Invitational. The Hilltoppers edged the Saints for the team title.

Propelled by its No. 1 doubles team of Thomas Sloncen and Max Brockmeyer, St. Charles East won its tournament title on Saturday.

After finishing his junior year with a 25-1 record and his second straight second-place finish in the Class 1A state singles bracket, Marmion junior Ben Graft has been named the Kane County Chronicle boys tennis Athlete of the Year.
