The Lockport Chamber of Commerce is accepting scholarship applications for its Moving Forward Scholarship.
The chamber will award one $1,000 scholarship to a student pursuing a degree in a field related to business, according to a news release from the Lockport Chamber of Commerce.
The student may use the funds for any term – including the summer term – to cover books, supplies and tuition. Funds will be paid directly to the institution the student is attending, according to the release.
Applicants must be a graduating senior of Lockport Township High School, a U.S. citizen and have a “minimum 3.0 of 4.0 scale unweighted cumulative GPA up to and including first semester of senior year in high school,” according to the release.
In addition, applicants must also be entering or enrolled in a college, university or trade and technical school in the U.S. as a full-time student, according to the release.
The application and all required materials must be submitted in a single envelope. The deadline to apply is April 1.
