Manhattan to hold Labor Day Party on Sept. 5

Festivities will include kids games, inflatables and tournaments

The village of Manhattan will host its first Labor Day party with food and festivities on Sept. 5.

The free event will be held at the Round Barn, located at 24115 S. U.S. Route 52 in Manhattan from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., according to a news release.

Families will be able to enjoy inflatables, a DJ with balloon animals, fireworks, a face painter, kids’ games, a volleyball tournament, a bags tournament, and a pet station.

Attendees will also have the option to order from Smokin’ Z BBQ, Rosati’s Pizza or the Creamery. The Manhattan Boy Scouts will also be selling pop and water.

The local ROTC, Lincoln-Way West Madrigals and the Manhattan Junior High Band will also perform.

The village also thanked the Manhattan, Illinois Chamber of Commerce for its help organizing.
