D. 202 announces new attendance zones for the 2021-2022 school year

Student registration open now for new students; returning students can register starting April 26

Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 recently adjusted its attendance zones.

A news release from District 202 said the adjustments were made to “populate Wallin Oaks; rebalance enrollments district-wide; minimize the need to move certain special education programs every year among buildings because of limited space; and ensure efficient student transportation.”

Wallin Oaks, the district’s 18th elementary school is being built to help create enough space to provide full-day kindergarten for all eligible students in District 202.

The 2020-2021 home schools will forward records for students who are moving to new schools for the 2021-2022 school year.

Registration is currently open to all students who will attend Wallin Oaks in the 2021-2022 school year. Students will register at Ridge Elementary School.

Students who will be new to District 20 this fall may also register now. Those students will register at their home school for 2021-2022.

Registration for returning students will begin April 26.

Information about registration is on all school websites and on the District 202 website at psd202.org. Registration materials can be emailed or dopped off at the proper school.
