Joliet man charged with burglary of 2 vehicles at Harrah’s casino

Man charged last year with committing theft at Consumer Liquors

A Joliet man was charged with burglarizing a Chevrolet Equinox and Chevrolet pickup truck parked on the Harrah’s casino deck.

Juan Sanchez, 26, of the 700 block of Second Avenue was arrested in connection with the incident last Thursday and has since been released from the Will County jail.

A criminal complain alleged that Sanchez, without authority and without causing damage, knowingly entered a Equinox and pickup with the intent to commit theft.

Officers responded to the burglary report about 2:20 a.m. Thursday, Joliet police said. Sanchez was detained by security guards after he was seen burglarizing vehicles, police said.

“Items taken from two vehicles were found upon search of Sanchez,” police said.

Sanchez posted 10% of his bond and was released Friday.
