The Lockport girls volleyball team collected a 26-24, 25-7 victory over visiting Plainfield East on Wednesday.
Grace Juergens led Lockport’s attack with 10 kills, while Cameryn DeBlecourt provided 10 assists and 10 digs to the Porters’ cause.

Joliet def. Romeoville: At Prairie Bluff Golf Course, Joliet improved to 5-0 with the win over Romeoville.
McKenna Anderson and Jamie Daniels paced Joliet by shooting rounds of 42.

Joliet 158, Plainfield East 164, Yorkville 173: Joliet came out on top in a matchup of three Southwest Prairie Conference squads.

Niles Notre Dame 7, Joliet Catholic 0: The Hilltoppers dropped to 2-2 as they struggled to match up with one of the state’s top programs.
BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
Lincoln-Way East’s Nolan Rogers was the Blue Division individual champion in the SouthWest Suburban Conference’s Pre-Conference Meet, clocking in at a time of 15:57.
Bolingbrook’s Brett Wasick took second, while Homewood-Flossmoor was the team champion.
For the Red Division, Lincoln-Way Central’s Caden Simone turned in the best time of the day with a 15:20.
Connor LeBeau was fifth for the Knights in 16:37, who took second in the team standings to Stagg.
GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
Lincoln-Way Central took the Red Division team title at the SouthWest Suburban Conference Pre-Conference meet by placing three runners in the top seven.
The individual winner was Lincoln-Way West’s Gianna Arizzi, who crossed the line well ahead of the field in 18:32.
In the Blue Division meet, Lockport won the team title as Kayla Shea paced that effort with a second-place finish in 18:57.
