The Bolingbrook girls basketball team was the area’s only team still ranked in the recently released Associated Press Top 10 poll.
The Raiders received 15 voting points to be ranked ninth in the Class 4A poll.
Top-ranked teams in each class were Hersey (Class 4A), Chicago Simeon (Class 3A), Port Byron Riverdale (Class 2A) and Amboy (Class 1A).
Plainfield North 56, Plainfield South 34: The Tigers kept their record spotless at 6-0 with a win over their district rivals.
Minooka 48, Plainfield Central 38: The Indians (3-4) inched closer to the .500 mark with a Southwest Prairie Conference victory.
Joliet West 65, West Aurora 46: The Tigers picked off their fourth consecutive win in improving to 6-1 on the season.
Lisa Thompson poured in 29 points to lead Joliet West, while Grace Walsh added 17.
Joliet Central 46, Oswego East 43: The Steelmen came through in the clutch to pick up a Southwest Prairie Conference victory.
Yorkville 51, Plainfield East 43: Lexi Sepulveda had 11 points for the Bengals, but they still fell short in a Southwest Prairie Conference matchup.
Joliet Catholic 59, Providence 49: The Angels took control of the rivalry game in winning their second straight behind a career-high 32 points from Jasmine Brown.
Annalise Pietrzyk led Providence with 17 points.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Lincoln-Way East 76, Sandburg 43: Jack Vegter scored a career-high 27 points as the Griffins rolled to a SouthWest Suburban Conference win. George Bellevue pulled down 16 rebounds for Lincoln-Way East (2-4).
Lockport 52, Andrew 44 (OT): It took an extra frame, but the Porters (5-2) emerged with a quality SouthWest Suburban Conference victory.
Matas Deksnys led Lockport with 18 points.
Minooka 50, Plainfield Central 48: The Indians picked up their fifth consecutive victory with a narrow win over the Wildcats.
Jake Faron led Minooka (5-1) with 15 points.
Lincoln-Way Central 55, Stagg 54: The Knights improved to 5-2 with a close SouthWest Suburban Conference win.
Oswego East 62, Joliet Central 41: The Steelmen tried to play catchup all game but fell short in a Southwest Prairie Conference matchup.
Lemont 96, Argo 63: The Indians (4-1) put up some serious offense in a South Suburban Conference win.
Joliet West 68, West Aurora 38: The Tigers (5-2) picked up their third consecutive victory with a Southwest Prairie Conference win.
Lincoln-Way West 49, Bradley-Bourbonnais 48: The Warriors (2-4) have now strung together back-to-back victories after the one-point win over the Boilermakers.
Quinton Villa led all scorers with 18 points.
Plainfield South 37, Plainfield North 35: The Cougars edged the Tigers in a Southwest Prairie Conference matchup.
Seneca 64, Low Point-Washburn 44: The Fighting Irish were propelled by a strong second quarter where they outscored their foes 16-4.
Zach Pheifer and Trey Hauch both led Seneca (6-3) with 13 points.
Coal City 52, Wilmington 43: The Coalers handed the Wildcats their first loss of the season in an Illinois Central Eight Conference matchup.
Kyle Burch led Coal City (3-2) with 22 points, while Ben Kreitz paced Wilmington (5-1) with 16 points.
Herscher 50, Reed-Custer 40: The Comets (1-5) tried to rally late but fell short in an Illinois Central Eight Conference loss.
Dwight 62, Paxton 48: The Trojans (4-4) picked up a quality win in Sangamon Valley Conference play.
Brandon Ceylor led Dwight with 17 points.
